Here follows a kind of visual documentation of my trip across America. Sit back, enjoy the pictures and posts. I'm new at this kind of thing, so please, share the journey, be kind in your comments, and hopefully I'll improve the all around quality of the site as I go. For parties interested in contributing to The Great American Cheeseburger Fund, please see earliest post. I thank everyone again for their insight and help along the way.... Cumberland Gab Dulcimer Gathering
Turned out it was a great weekend to stay put for a couple of days....There happened to be an annual Dulcimer Gathering, a fantastic festival w chili, snacks, water, and a large number of dulcimer, banjo, bass and guitar players all playing at once. Even an ol' time mountain music jam session. It was here I met Frank and Pat, an amazing couple from MI, and avid travelers and kayak enthusiasts. Took me out for a FINE breakfast in the town of Cumberland, had great conversations and even better company. Quite comforting in this point in my life; they are about 20 yrs older than I, and are really down to earth, and made me feel so much better knowing that its ok not to be stuck in a stale routine behind a desk to feel like I have accomplished anything. Thank you again, guys!
